KAY LINNEA If you are
looking for the electrifying sounds of Chaka Khan, the sultry soul sounds of
Gladys Knight, the heart wrenching country sounds of Patsy Cline, the
smooth jazzy sounds of Nancy Wilson, the dancing beats and sounds of Gloria Gaynor and Donna Summer, or
the up beat and hard rocking sounds of
Tina Turner, then you want the versatile sounds of Kay Linnea. Kay Linnea, is
the former lead singer and original member of the high energy Total Package
Band. During her eight years with the
band, she and the band opened up for such major acts as: The Gap Band, William Bell, Latimore, Tyrone
Davis, Bobby Blue Bland, Trudy Lynn and many others. She is no stranger to
the big stage and large audiences. She
has dazzled crowds of over 60,000
people at Centennial Park during the 1996 Olympics held in Atlanta,
Georgia. She has also given electrifying performances at the 1997 Cherry
Blossom Festival in Macon, Georgia, and recently at the September, 2000 Narni
Black Music Festival in Narni, Italy with William Bell headlining. Over the years,
Kay has refined her vocal skills while performing with the South
Carolina State University Jazz Ensemble. She began singing professionally when
national jazz recording artist, Ojeda
Penn discovered her sultry vocals combined with an unmistakable smooth
delivery. She has also worked with
Jason Bryant, co-founder of Atlantas own S.O.S. Band. Therefore, she is no stranger to high-energy
material. Kay, now out on
her own, brings all of the versatility of jazz, pop, rock, country and R&B.
She will keep your party going all night long. If you want good live
music, and one of the hardest working women in show business today, Kay Linnea
is your lady. |
